Dichotomy's Portrait
If I was asked why I did these images the short answer would be, “I think they look cool.” Simple enough, yet there is more going on when I look back on their creation.
This project has been in progress since 2010. The creative process was in a way dictated back to me by the images. So by 2020 I found myself at an unexpected conclusion (at last!)
I see art photography as essentially a collection of self-portraits. By analysing work you get the formal perspective of the artist.
This series of 20 images, each image being 1.2m x 1.83m, is presented as 10 diptychs comprising a BW image and a Colour image.
The work presents two sides of my personality. I have used my camera to capture images, which I have treated to produce symmetrical reflections. My world is a collage of impressions.
Due to Covid19, the exhibition of these images has
been delayed, for how long I do not know.
